Order Management

You might receive orders from more than one source. There’s EDI trading partners, marketplaces like Amazon, shopping carts like Shopify, or other applications like Excel. Depending on the origin of the order, you ship it:
• to a distribution center,
• direct to a retail store, or
• drop ship direct to consumer’s home.

All these different ways of handling orders require knowhow and technology, and that's where we can help.

Commerce Desktop is our order management service that consolidates all your order activity under a single cohesive system. It works seamlessly by integrating with your back office accounting, ERP, WMS or shipping software. If you work with a 3PL service provider, Commerce Desktop connects directly to their facility and integrates with their WMS and shipping software.

If your operation is smaller and you receive only a couple of orders per week, Commerce Desktop is a fully EDI compliant tool that works in your browser and connects to all your trading partners.

Integration

As your EDI activity and online selling increases, it means more electronic interaction with customers. They demand timely notification and delivery of their order quickly. Inventory management becomes a greater challenge too. If you manage everything manually, it’s labour intensive and prone to errors – which costs you money.

Automation and integration with your back office system and 3PL warehouse, are essential for managing orders and controlling inventory. Among our customers we’ve integrated thousands of different combinations of software that bring automation and efficiency to their environment.

Take a look at all the applications we currently integrate.

Data Transport

Moving your data is just as important as the data itself. FTP, AS2 and VAN are the common methods for data transport. Each one is reliable with ease of setup, security level and cost differentiating one from the other. FTP is the most common method but in EDI trading relationships, your customers will choose either AS2 or VAN.

Our service supports all three methods, and manages and monitors the movement of your EDI data safely and securely. It “pushes” files that are ready to send and “pulls” files that are ready to receive. Most EDI trading partners only expect files to be transported a few times a day; however, marketplaces and shopping carts require transfers more frequently. We manage the frequency of connections and ensure files arrive when expected.
